Rebuild

It’s been 10 years since the first person crossed the threshold into a house in Newport, KY, making Reset their home. Since then we have received confirmation time and again that Reset is the answer many people have been searching for. God was laying a foundation for something more beautiful than we could have imagined. In 2015, the next brick fell into place when we opened our second house, doubling our capacity. As our reach continues to grow, our hearts continue to break. We see people hurting and we know we have the tools to help them rebuild their lives...but we need more space.

Reset

The past year has been one of uncertainty, sickness, and isolation. Like everyone else, the leadership, volunteers and residents at Reset have faced hardship. But no matter how dark the days might have been, there is always hope at Reset. There is celebration and freedom from fear. There is healing and community. We want to create space for more residents and alumni to experience all the goodness that Reset has to offer. We know you do too and we hope you will join us in giving more people a chance to reset.

Restore

We ask our residents to try without fear of failure, to dream and without wondering if it will come true, and to step out without questioning the ground beneath their feet. We expect that from our leadership as well, which is why we have never questioned if there would be another house, but when. This year, a much anticipated third house was donated to Reset! The house is not ready for residents just yet. Like the rest of us, it needs some work. Just as we are honored to help restore broken lives, we consider it a gift to be able to restore this historic house and make it a home for future generations of Reset residents. We are inviting you to be a part of that restoration.

Why are we doing this?

Because we are called to serve more people. We know every room at Reset will directly impact the lives of those who live there as well as our community.

What needs to happen?

We are restoring a 6,000 square foot, 3 story building to a warm, inviting home where residents can experience lasting life-change. We've opened the house, but in order to reach full capacity, several things need to be addressed:

Replacing the roof
detox center
Repainting the exterior windows & trim
Install privacy fence at the rear of the property

Who are we looking for?

We know that there are talented individuals, generous businesses, caring supporters and prayer warriors who will partner with us to make this happen. Whether you count yourself among them, you know someone who might want to contribute, or you want to know how you can be a part of this, we want to hear from you.

You can volunteer your professional skills, or if you aren’t a pro, follow instructions and swing a hammer. (Hammer swinging optional.) You can donate finances or building materials. You can contribute your time or connect us with someone who wants to take part. You can pray for everyone involved in rebuilding this house, and the people who will one day call it home.
