Executive Director

The Executive Director is responsible for executing the strategic plan for the organization. The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors and will be considered successful when there are enough volunteers to allow the House Directors, Counseling Director and Social Enterprise Director to succeed based on their metrics, enough financial support to fuel and grow the ministry, and 90% of the house capacity and the targeted graduation rates are being achieved.

Qualifications:

● Demonstrates the heart of a Servant Leader and is mature in their faith.
● Has experience with leading an organization—preferably in the helping field (such as a church or a non-profit).
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, plan and coordinate operations.
● Leadership skills, including negotiation, problem solving, decision making, delegation.
● Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
● Experience in fund raising event planning and execution.
● Familiar with social media platforms, google suite/tools, Microsoft office and graphic design program(s) a plus.
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Board of Directors, staff, community groups, and other related agencies.
● A heart for recovery, preferably personal experience working in the recovery community.

Expectations:

● Working with the Reset Board and the Development Chair, develop and implement a resource development plan for the organization to meet the annual budget.
● Responsible for the enhancement of Reset’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations.
● Communicate regularly with prospects and donors to grow the organizations donor base. Participate in cultivation and solicitation visits with board members.
● Coordinate house maintenance and repairs.
● Develop and execute an annual marketing and awareness program.
● Oversee the Men’s & Women’s Directors, House Directors, Biblical Counseling Director and Social Enterprise Director to ensure that they are meeting expectations. Assist with problem solving as needed.
● Oversee the Reset Program to make sure it is being delivered effectively and in line with the mission.
● Partner with the Volunteer Program Chair to ensure Reset has enough volunteers to operate the organization effectively. Develop a recruitment plan to continue ‘refilling’ the volunteer pipeline.
● Meet with staff monthly and conduct annual performance reviews with staff.
● Ensure that financial records are being kept properly and work with the accountant to file annual tax return.
● Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing the information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.
● Responsible for fiscal management to operate within the approved budget, ensure maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.
● Coordinate with the various committees and Board to shape and realize the vision and mission of Reset, including setting 1-, 3-, and 5-year plans.
● Ensure development, implementation and monitoring of plans for updating existing technology and resources.
