Discipleship Coaches & Specialists
Discipleship Coaches come alongside residents with “life on life” relationship and coaching. Discipleship Coaches provide assistance and encouragement to help residents achieve their goals. Using the “Six Essentials” (Reset’s discipleship model) Coaches are provided with tools to help residents as they explore what it means to be a Disciple to Jesus in all areas of life. Coaches do not need to be experts in all areas, but just a few steps ahead. Identifying areas of needed growth, Discipleship Coaches provide assistance and encouragement. A useful analogy is to think of a Discipleship Coach as a Primary Care Physician—addressing overall health but knowing when to bring in a specialist.
Specialists are ministry partners with extended knowledge in specific areas within the Six Essentials. These areas might include Biblical counseling/deliverance, finance, health, nutrition, emotional or physical healing, sobriety, time management, employment, mental health, and exercise. Specialists offer short-term assistance to individuals or groups. This can be especially valuable as residents near graduation, helping them catch up in areas needing improvement before they launch into their next phase of life.
