Hello Friends,
I hope you and your family are enjoying summer. At Reset, things have been busy this year! We are currently operating close to capacity in each of our three homes. As you can imagine, this takes a lot of time and energy to serve each and every one of our residents. We couldn't do this well without all of the dedicated volunteers who have come alongside the ministry. I want to say thank you to all of you who serve at Reset! Together we are making a generational impact into the lives of the people we serve.
In Him,

Volunteer Dinner
On May 18, we gathered to celebrate our volunteers with a “Casual Grille” cookout at The Bridge Church. Filled with good food from City Barbeque, fun selfie stations, and exciting giveaways, the volunteer dinner was a meaningful time of community and connection. Many of our volunteers got to meet each other for the first time.
The evening was also a “Resident Serve Night.” Our residents modeled ‘servant leadership’ and served the volunteers that serve them daily. Residents baked the desserts that were served at the dinner. It was a beautiful reflection of the Lord’s fruit coming alive in our residents, echoing scripture from Matthew 20:26-28: “But whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
It was a truly special night and we are so grateful to have been able to recognize our volunteers that keep Reset running. Thank you, volunteers, for your boundless compassion and dedication, and for embodying the spirit of service in our Reset homes.
Baptisms
Five of our residents recently chose to get baptized. Hosted by our beloved volunteer, Stephanie, the baptism was a joyous event filled with friends, communion, and celebration. We are so proud of each and every one of our residents for taking this big step to “reset” their life!
“It was amazing. I felt at peace and when Kathleen put me under the water, I felt him wrap around me. I could hear him saying, ‘That's my girl.’” - Porscha
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)
