There’s no magic reset button in life. There is, however, Reset Ministries.

Reset Ministries, based in Newport, is a Christ-centered, voluntary program for men and women in the Greater Cincinnati area that desire to radically change their lives, according to founder Grant Dawson.

“Our mission is to transform broken and lost individuals into servant leaders as they discover their true identity and purpose in Christ,” he said. “We believe that there are five key components that are essential to helping individuals break the destructive patterns in their lives that lead to addictions, lost opportunities and incarceration.”

According to Dawson, at Reset, inside-out change occurs as men and women are exposed to the fact that they are God’s creation and that He wants a deeper relationship with them. Weekly Recovery meetings and Bible studies allow the residents to lean on and learn from each other, as well as people from the Reset family who are further along in their spiritual walks.

“Without faith and knowing why they were created, the lure of drug addiction and past are there,” Dawson said. “Our program is based on 2 Corinthians 5:17, ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.’ We’re here to let people know they are a new creation and they can reset their lives.”
